Jay Towers

I've been a diehard FOX 2 fan since I came to Detroit in 1996, and I'm so excited to be waking up Motown with Q and the entire Fox 2 News morning team.

TV was new to me when I started on Fox 2 News Weekend back in 2004, but after a decade here Fox 2 really feels like a second home. I've been a radio DJ since I was 14 years old. I worked in Atlantic City, Grand Rapids and Philadelphia before making Detroit my final stop!

I hosted Jay & Rachael in the Morning on 93-1 DRQ for 6 years and hosted the Jay & Bill show on 97.1 after that. In 2010 I started hosting morning at the legendary Detroit radio station 100.3 WNIC, and yes we are Detroit's Christmas station every year. I currently pull double duty now running down the hall at Fox 2 to also host Jay Towers in the Morning from the new WNIC – Fox 2 radio studio.

I believe if you work in the business of news and entertainment, using your voice to help charitable causes is the most rewarding thing you can do and I love working with so many of them in Metro-Detroit. Angels of Hope, Gleaners, Michigan Urban Farming, Capuchin Soup kitchen, The Detroit Children's center and the Zetterberg foundation are just a few. This year I also started “Jay's Juniors”. It's a way for me to take kids with chronic or terminal illness to Walt Disney World at Christmas.

I'm blessed to have a beautiful 12 year old daughter and amazing family. Please follow me on Facebook or twitter and you can always email me.

Would love for you to join me on Facebook and Twitter!
