Join FOX2 & Gleaners to make this a Hunger Free Summer

Watch as the kids from Parkview Elementary in Novi and Principal Jenifer Michos take part in our 'Gleaners Hunger Free Summer' PSA.

Did you know that about half the kids in our community get free or low cost meals in school during the school year?  When school gets out for the summer those same kids often go hungry.

That's why FOX 2 is partnering with Gleaners Community Food Bank to ensure that no child goes hungry with our Hunger Free Summer campaign.  There are two ways you can help:

You can make a huge difference by donating today! Every donation given from now through mid-September will be matched, providing six meals for hungry kids in our community.

Learn more ways that you can help by calling 855-315- FOOD or by logging on to Donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar through mid-September.

If you prefer a more hands-on approach - stop by your nearest Gardner-White Furniture location!  You can bring a non-perishable food item to any Gardner-White Furniture Location all summer long!  Find the closest location here:  Gardner -White Locations

FOX 2 would like to thank the great people at Parkview Elementary in Novi for letting us come record a public service announcement in the school.  The kids did a great job helping us to get the word out about the campaign.  Of course, when you get fifteen 1st graders together, it's pretty fun, as our Lee Thomas found out.  Click the video player above to go behind-the-scenes of our PSA shoot, and watch for the final PSA on FOX 2!  Thanks again Parkview!
