Cereal Drive - Because Hunger Doesn't Take A Summer Vacation!

FOX 2 and 100.3 WNIC are teaming up to support the 7th annual Cereal Drive put on by Children's Hospital of Michigan's Professional Nurse Council.
Our Jay Towers will be collecting cereal on Saturday June 4 as he broadcasts live for Jay Towers in the Morning and on FOX 2!  Just bring your cereal boxes to Jay from 6 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the parking lot of Kroger at 2905 Union Lake Road, Commerce Township.
Theresa Lucas of the WNIC family will also be collecting cereal at Kroger on 3125 John R Road in Troy.
The end of the school year often marks the end of a guaranteed meal for almost half of Detroit's children. In Southeast Michigan more than 300,000 free or reduced fee, breakfasts and lunches are served daily during the school year. That's why The Children's Hospital of Michigan Professional Nurse Council at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) leads a community effort to provide area children with a consistent daily meal over summer break.
The 7th Annual Cereal Drive runs through June 10. The cereal collected will be donated to Gleaners Community Food Bank.
