WJBK - FOX 2 and Gardner-White Furniture thank everyone who joined in our efforts to make sure local kids in need get a great night's sleep.
Children need sleep to be healthy and to do well in school and in life. Studies show that getting enough sleep helps a child grow and learn. There are many reasons a child needs a good night of sleep so Gardner-White worked with two local nonprofits to donate 1,000 mattresses to children who needed beds. 1,000 children served by the nonprofit organizations COTS and Humble Design received new mattresses from Gardner-White Furniture in partnership with Serta and Restonic mattress companies.
Watch the story above to see the impact - as a family coming out of COTS Homeless Shelter finds not just new beds, but their entire house made into a home thanks to Humble Design.
Thank you to everyone who joined in our efforts through our pajama drive at Gardner-White! Thanks to your generosity children in need will go to bed in warm pajamas on cold winter nights.
Even through our pajama drive is over, you can still stop by any Gardner-White location during the holiday season to pick up our annual Giving Guide. FOX 2 and Gardner-White create the guide to help you make a connection with those who need help in our community. The Giving Guide is a directory of local charities and what they need.
