Operation Backpack is Back!

Join FOX 2, 100.3 WNIC, Channel 955 and Kroger - help us collect new backpacks and school supplies for children in need in our community.  Get on board and fill the bus - with FOX 2's Sherry Margolis, Jay Towers from FOX 2 & 100.3 WNIC and Mojo from Channel 955's Mojo in the Morning as we team up to help kids!

We are collecting new school supplies for Volunteers of America Michigan's Operation Backpack program and we need your help!

There are two ways you can get involved:

Option 1:
Help Fill a School bus!
When:  Friday, August 25th from 6am - 3pm
Where: Kroger Marketplace in Royal Oak (2200 E. 12 Mile Road)
FOX 2 will be live for our morning show and 100.3 WNIC and Channel 955 will be broadcasting live from 6am - 3pm!  During that time we will be collecting new backpacks and school supplies.  Drop by and help us fill a school bus!
All supplies go to Volunteers of America Michigan to be distributed to local children in need. Our focus this year is on homeless children.  Homelessness can have devastating consequences on a child's education. Help local children start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.
On VOA's website, you can find several age-specific supply lists to help you shop for items!
Option 2:
Drop by any Kroger to purchase a $7 school supply kit and drop it into the bin at the front of the store. Find the location closest to you here: www.kroger.com/StoreLocator
You can also host a supply drive or help sort the supplies! So many ways to help those children who are the most vulnerable in our community.  Join us and help support Operation Backpack!
