DETROIT (WJBK) - Despite what we all may be hoping, wishing, or even praying for, winter isn't over. Not just because the calendar says so, but because this is Michigan.
It's not uncommon for us to receive snow throughout March and April. In fact, it's expected, especially in March.
On average, we receive 7 inches of snow for the entire month of March. So, unfortunately snow isn't over.
Now, keep in mind we've already received about 5 inches around Metro Detroit last week. So...we could very easily surpass the average this year, but we'll see.
Remember the end of February when we were in the 50s and 60s? Those days aren't that far away.
