(WJBK) - Much of metro Detroit is expected to see some rain Thursday at some point during the day.
While rounds of showers and storms will come and go through the day, we will get some dry time in between the wet weather.
Many cities saw early-morning rains, but the threat for severe weather comes with the afternoon and evening showers.
Increasing humidity will be part of what fuels our prospects for strong or severe storms this afternoon & evening. We are in the "slight" risk, which is up from the "marginal" that was posted Wednesday.
Strong wind and flooding rains are the greatest threat, but some rotating storms are not out of the question, so we can't completely discount an isolated tornado.
A cold front slides through overnight, easing the humidity and decreasing our precipitation chances Friday.
