Deena Centofanti named Hero of Breast Cancer

On Thursday health reporter Deena Centofanti was honored for her work and dedication. The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute recognized Deena as a "Hero of Breast Cancer"  for her committment to the Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure.

Deena raises awareness about breast cancer, through her stories, public service announcements, and community involvement.

Each year, the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute recognizes outstanding indiviuals and organizations who demonstrate leadership in raising awareness and offer education about breast cancer.
