Part 2: Reduced prison sentences

A series of bills introduced in the State House today is designed to cut the cost of the state prison system. It is part of Gov. Rick Snyder's plan to cut crime and cut expenses. 

The House and Senate could vote on the package before the summer recess. But some cops fear those reduced sentences could jeopardize public safety.
