According to a recent survey, to save money, Americans aren't buying as much coffee. But one man right here in Metro Detroit is buying more cappuccinos and lattes than ever before.
Every week, Dan Dewey loads up his Chevy Cavalier with beverages from Starbucks and passes them out at a nearby cancer treatment center. It's an act of kindness that began when Dan's own father was a patient at the center. Now, "Dan's Coffee Run" has become a Thursday tradition.

UPDATE 7/22/2011: According to the Starbucks at Square Lake and Woodward where Dan picks up his coffee each week, an anonymous donor says if customers donate $500 in coffee money for Dan's coffee run, they'll match it.
