Ann Arbor Is Number One

- Finally the State of Michigan finished in the top ten of a nationwide survey and it has to do with the Most and Least Educated Cities in the country.

And the winner is, Ann Arbor finishing on the top of heap with a score of 95%. 

The State of Michigan placed 6 other cities on the 150 city list and unfortunately for the Green and White faithful, East Lansing finished 24 spots behind the folks in A2.

After East Lansing at number 25, came Grand Rapids-Wyoming at number 77, followed by Detroit-Warren-Dearborn at 81 and Flint at number 120.

The rankings from Wallet-Hub used nine metrics as it looked at adults over the age of 25 and older with at least a bachelor's degree.

Ann Arbor had the highest percentage of those with a B.A. with 52% of the residents in that category which was four times higher than one of the lowest city, Visalia-Porterville, California. It also boasts the highest percentage of graduates or professional degrees with 27%.

Rounding out the top five were Washington D.C., San Jose, Durham, and Madison.

California placed 5 cities in the bottom ten and Texas had three.
