Sharday "Shay" Lewis was born on the rainy day of May 26 1991 to parents Sharon and Maurice Lewis. At the age of five, Shay found her voice and started applying it in her church choir, as well as winning three talent shows at her elementary school which displayed her talent.
Tamia's 2000 album titled "A Nu Day" was the album that put young Shay Lewis on the path to becoming a singer. Growing up Shay participated in talent shows, plays, High School Pep Rallies and other events that would show her vocals even more!
During Shay Lewis's Freshmen year of college, Shay dealt with a heavy break up which helped her win first place at the talent show at Oakland University when she sung "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles. It wasn't until later on in her freshmen year that Shay Lewis found a passion for song writing and started sharing her talent at local open mic nights as well as YouTube.com.
