DEARBORN, Mich. (WJBK) - AAA Michigan is partnering with DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan to conduct the third annual free child safety seat check for the public.
Certified child passenger safety technicians from the Kohl's Injury Prevention Program will be on hand to inspect seats for proper installation, provide information to parents on how to select the appropriate seats and ensure that currently installed seats have not been recalled.
The safety seat check is open to the public. No need for pre-registration. Parents will bring children and their child safety seats in their vehicles. Unusable child safety seats will be prepared for recycling.
The event is Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m - 1 p.m. at their headquarters, which is at 1 Auto Club Drive in Dearborn.
