(WJBK) - Senior dogs and cats make great pets for senior people with quiet households. Corinne Martin from the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption society says adopting a senior pet can provide companionship to senior persons or those who spend a lot of time at home. It's also perfect for those who would benefit from the company of a dog or cat who is mellow, easy to care for and can be their best friend. Some pets may require medication for manageable conditions and others may not. This week's pet is Augie, an apricot colored poodle who is at least 10-years old. For more information contact the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society at www.GPAAS.ORG, or call (313)884-1551. 20048 Harper Avenue, Harper Woods, 48225. Hours are Monday through Friday 10am-3pm.
