(WJBK) - A group of celebrities with ties to Detroit are making sure those in need have a good meal this Thanksgiving.
Former NBA player and Detroit Piston Derrick Coleman and the NBA Legends Alumni Detroit Chapter is teaming up with Forgotten Harvest right before the Thanksgiving holiday.
On November 22 Coleman and friends, including former NBA and NFL players, will be assembling produce packages at Forgotten Harvest headquarters to distribute the following day at the "Annual All-Star Giveback" at River Rouge High School.
This means more than 2,000 people will get a turkey and healthy produce for their Thanksgiving meal. The giveaways start at 11 a.m.
