DPD and DMC team up for 90 fitness challenge

The Detroit Police Department is teaming up with the Detroit Medical Center to improve its officers' physical fitness.

The Detroit Police Department is teaming up with the Detroit Medical Center to improve its officers' physical fitness. 

The 90 day fit challenge kicked off December 8, 2015 at DPD Headquarters on Third Street. DMC staff screened hundreds of police officers and staff for weight, cholesterol, diabetes, BMI, vision and more. Then DPD staff formed teams to compete against each other throughout the next year to see which precinct can become the healthiest.
