Meet "Maya" Fox 2 Pet of the Week

- A reminder from the Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center, it's time to renew your Oakland County Dog License.  Required by Michigan State Law if your dog is four months of age or older.  You can purchase your dog's license at the Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center in Auburn Hills, your local township or city hall, participating veterinarians or on-line at www.oakgov.com/petadoption

This week's adoptable pet is "Maya."  She is a two year old Hound/Pointer X.  She does know her basic commands but will need additional training with sharing her toys and food.  She is a Hound so she is quite energetic.  She will fit in best with someone who leads an active life-style. Hounds can be vocal, so an apartment may not be the best situation for Maya.  She is also a big dog and because she does have trouble sharing her toys and food, a household with small children would not be recommended until she has further training.  If you are interested in adopting Maya, contact the Shelter at (248) 391-4100  or visit the website for more details (www.oakgov.com/petadoption).
