(WJBK) - The NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter is hosting a big party to raise money for student athletes in metro Detroit.
The chapter believes student athletes should be recognized for their academic achievements and should be encouraged to pursue career goals beyond athletics. The fundraiser is a night of games and philanthropy benefiting the NFL Alumni Student Athlete Scholarship Fund for graduating male and female student athletes within Wayne County.
Detroit Lions pro bowler TJ Lang and Pete Cryplewicz, NFL alumni vice president, joined us in studio to tell us more about the event. You can hear from them in the video player above.
The fundraiser is Friday, April 27 at Emagine Star Lanes in Royal Oak. You can get more information and order tickets online here.
