College student raising money for childhood cancer with laughter

A college student at the University of Michigan is helping kids fight cancer with laughter. Sam Silverstein created his comedy show Laughter is The Cure to Life to help raise funds for C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and childhood cancer.

Sam says the show is like nothing ever seen before and will entertain an audience of all ages.

"The show is an hour-long live story, told through the use of stand-up comedy, video, music all tied together. So basically we take the best of what you might see at a movie, what you might see at a stand-up comedy show, what you might see at a concert and we throw it all together into a story," he explains.

The next show is Tuesday, February 16 at MSU and Sam announced during his segment another upcoming show April 11 at the University of Michigan in the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre. For more information, or to make a donation to the cause, visit www.laughteristhecure.com.
