Friends going 'Beyond H2O' for Flint children

A group of girls from the Farmington area are on a mission to make life better for children affected by the water crisis in Flint -- and they're going beyond H2O. They're working to raise money for learning activity kits for the kids.

Morgan lowe, maggie bean and karina roberts are here to tell us about their efforts.

"We were at school one day and everyone was talking about the Flint water crisis, and everyone was giving water. We were thinking, isn't the lead poisoning affecting their brains? So we wanted to give them stuff that would help them be able to learn with the lead poisoning that is affecting them and it can give them learning disabilities," says Karina Roberts.

The girls are spending their Spring Break to purchase supplies for the learning kits and then head to Flint to hand them out.

If you'd like to help, you can donate to their GoFundMe page. They are collecting donations through March 31.
