Fundraiser for Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids

(WJBK) - Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids is a special place for children to go who have been injured by fire. The camp provides healing, selt-esteem and confidence in the young survivors.

Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids is run mostly through the time of volunteers and donations. A fundraiser is being held this weekend to help.

It's at Double Dippers Ashby's Ice Cream on Van Dyke in Utica.

At the fundraiser, you get to enjoy a tasty treat while watching area firefighters compete to see who can eat the most.

The fundraiser is from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Shelby Township firefighters will be scooping ice cream inside the store. All proceeds will go to the Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids.
