Inaugural Detroit Veterans Day Gala Nov. 10

Central City Integrated Health is hosting an inaugural Detroit Veterans Day Gala on to honor all who served.

It will be held on November 10 at the Detroit Golf Club from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and will include an auction featuring artwork by Army veteran and Detroit resident Donald "Sunn" Anderson, who was involved in the Cass Corridor art movement. Anderson worked as an art teacher and sold his art in Greektown. When his employer died, and licensing laws for selling art changed, Anderson found himself homeless for two years.

He joined us in studio, along with Shelly Watts from Central City Integrated Health, to tell us more about the artwork and the gala. You can hear from them in the video player above.

You can get more information on the gala by clicking here. Tickets are free for veteran and active military members.
