Kids grief camp hosted by New Hope Center July 26-27

Young children often need assistance to cope with the loss of a loved one.

New Hope Center is hosting an event for kids to help them in the grieving process. The free camp is open to children ages 5-14 who have lost a love one.

This camp will teach children how animals can help us better cope with loss, connect with others, and remain calm in tough situations. There will be barn & garden tours, crafts, and a chance to meet other children who have lost a loved one. Horse therapy will also be included.

New Hope's Executive Director, Rick Guttersohn, joined us in studio to tell us more about the event. You can hear from him in the video player above.

The event is July 26-27, on both days, at Maybury Farm in Northville. Registration is required by calling 248-348-0115. You can also get more information at www.newhopecenter.net
