The Rainbow Connection making wishes come true for Mich. kids

The diagnosis of a life-threatening illness impacts a family in so many ways, but a local organization is helping to provide a little bit of an escape.

The Rainbow Connection grants children wishes to help them forget about the burdens that come with illness. The wishes can be something as simple as a new computer to meeting the President of the United States at the White House, to the most requested wish of all, a trip to Disney World.

They're celebrating a huge milestone -- they granted their 3,000th wish in 2015.

The Rainbow Connection's big Dream Makers Ball is coming up in April. For more information on that event, or to learn how else you can support The Rainbow Connection, visit www.rainbowconnection.org.
