(WJBK) - The Michigan Opera Theatre will open its 2017-2018 dance season with Ballet Hispánico, the premier Latino dance organization in the United States.
The company celebrates Hispanic culture through dance and will bring a program featuring all-female choreographers with works that explore flamenco, Mexican heritage and the circularity of the human condition.
CEO and Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro, along with dancers Jenna and Mark, joined us on The Nine to tell us more about the show, and give us a preview of some of the dance. You can watch in the video player above.
Performances are scheduled at the Detroit Opera House for Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29. For more information, visit www.michiganopera.org.
