Chef creates cookbook to help get over your ex

It's not very often we do a sit-down interview with a chef before a cooking segment, but this particular guest chef has a great story to tell. Chef Dean Sheremet is a metro Detroit native, but at one point his personal life was gossip magazine fodder all over the country.

When his marriage to LeAnn Rimes went up in smoke, he decided to put his life back together, recipe by recipe.

"It's really what pushed me to get into the kitchen and really re-start that part of my life," Dean says of his break-up. He wrote a get-strong, get over your ex cookbook and joined us on The Nine to share it with us.

VIDEOS: Learn more about Chef Dean's book in the video player above, and then continue watching to learn how to prepare one of the recipes from his book, Chili Glazed Seabass with Spicy Basil Greens.

"Eat Your Heart Out" is full of ultra healthy versions of comfort foods, teas and smoothies to improve your mood and foods that boost your metabolism. After all, looking and feeling good is the best revenge!

You can find his cookbook on Amazon.com and at Barnes and Noble locations.
