(WJBK) - A new, family-owned smoke meat shop is open for business in Commerce Township, operating out of a 120 year old historical building that was recently renovated. The Meat Shop smokes 300 lbs. of high quality meat each day, including Prime Creekstone Farms brisket that's only available to them and a BBQ facility located in Austin Texas, "Franklin Barbecue".

THE MEAT SHOP'S POTATO SALAD RECIPE
12 lbs. yellow potatoes
5 cups mayonnaise
4 tablespoons mustard (1/2 dijon and ½ prepared mustard)
3 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon pepper
24 cups green onion
6 cups celery-thinly chopped
3 cups dill pickles finely chopped
36 eggs (cool in ice water)
Paprika for color
1. Cook potatoes 15 minutes cubed ½ “ by ½ “
2. Dressing- mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper
3. Stir in celery, onion, pickles, and add potatoes and eggs.
Chill 6 hours serves 48
THE MEAT SHOP'S COLE SLAW RECIPE
1 ½ cup vinegar
1 ½ cup salad oil
1 ¼ cup sugar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon caraway
2 tablespoon pepper
Hot pepper to taste
24 cups green cabbage
8 cups purple cabbage
2 cups green onion
1 tablespoon salt
In a jar with a lid, blend vinegar, oil sugar, and spices and shake well.
Pour over mixture, toss lightly-chill minimum 2 hours
Serves 48- perfect for parties!
