Family, food and fun shift into high gear for the new season of The Great Food Truck Race: Family Faceoff on The Food Network.
The show which premieres Sunday, September 28, features a couple from Milford and a food truck called "Fortune Cooking."
Tom Lin is a professional chef and culinary instructor who owns and runs two restaurants with his family. His wife Julie Hill-Lin is an advertising executive by day, and cook by night.
Joined by Julie's best friend Tiffany Webster, their food truck is serving up an Asian Fusion menu including signature dishes General Tso's Chicken Spring Rolls, Lettuce Wrap Sliders and Fusion Bahn Mi Sandwiches.
The Great Food Truck Race premieres Sunday, September 28th at 9pm ET/PT where $50,000 is awarded to the last truck standing.
Mixed Vegetables and Chicken Stir Fry
2 tsp. of vegetable cooking oil
1 tsp. of minced ginger
1 tsp. of minced garlic
4 oz. of sliced chicken
2 cups of mixed vegetables
1 tsp. of cooking wine
1 TBS. of soy sauce
1 tsp of hoisin sauce
2-3 oz of chicken stock
1 tsp. of cornstarch dissolved in 1 oz of water
a drizzle of sesame oil
In a frying pan over medium heat heat, add cooking oil and stir fry the chicken, ginger and garlic for 3 to 4 minutes until the chicken is no longer pink, add in vegetables, cooking wine, soy, hoisin sauce, chicken stock, cook and stir for 1 minutes, add cornstarch mix to thicken the sauce and drizzle sesame oil.
