Levy Foods at MIU Men's Health Event

- The sixth annual Men's Health Event is at Ford Field this weekend. The event provides life-saving health screening for free.

The event is from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Men will also get a better understanding of how to stay healthy, free health screenings to assess their current health, and information about advances in healthcare.

The event also provides free flu shots, free haircuts, "Ask a Healthcare Expert" and "Ask a Pharmacist" booths, raffle prizes, health and sport displays, fitness activities, guest speakers and more!

Tofu Burger

1 each Potato bun
1 pack extra firm tofu sliced in half horizontally
1/4 cucumber sliced 1/8" thick
1 tsp. Pickling spice
1 tsp. sugar
¼ tsp Chili flakes
1 cloves garlic
1 tsp. Sugar
4 black peppercorns
1 cup. apple cider vinegar 
Kosher salt
Black pepper
¼ cup sliced Button mushrooms
1 Tbls. Extra virgin olive oil
3 ea. Sun Dried tomatoes
1 slice Munster cheese

Combine pickling spice, sugar, and vinegar, chili flakes, garlic, salt, peppercorns. Bring to a boil. Pour over sliced cucumbers. Refrigerate overnight.
Soak sundried tomatoes in water overnight. Drain off water. Pulse plumped tomatoes in a food processer, add olive oil and salt to taste and consistency.
Heat sauté pan over medium heat, add olive oil and mushrooms. Sauté until cooked  through, season with salt and pepper.
Season tofu with salt and pepper, sear on each side until browned. Top with Munster cheese.
To assemble spread some of the sun dried tomato pesto on the bottom bun. Top with tofu patty, mushrooms, and pickles.
