4th Annual Metro D 10 Alarm Chili Challenge Nov. 4

The 4th Annual Metro D 10 Alarm Chili Challenge returns for another year and at a new location.

Fire and police departments from all over the metro Detroit area will face off in the ultimate chili cook-off. Proceeds from the event will support the Detroit Firemen's Fund, as well as the Detroit Benefit and Protective Association. The public is invited to attend, sample, and vote for their favorite recipe.

Dean "Dino" Bach, owner of Dino's Lounge & M-Brew, Grace Keros, owner of American Coney Island and Chief Kevin Sullivan of the Ferndale Fire Department joined us on The Nine to tell us more about the cookoff. You can hear from them in the video player above.

The cookoff is Saturday, November 4 at noon in the back alley space behind Dino's Lounge & Jay's Penalty Box.

Last year, the Ferndale Fire Department won the People's Choice Award. You can get their chili recipe here
