Chocolate Lava Cake
5 tbsp butter
3.5 oz dark chocolate
2 extra large eggs
1 extra large egg yolk
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp flour
2 tsp cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
Powdered sugar as needed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine sugar, eggs and a pinch of salt in a mixer and stir at medium speed. Allow the consistency to become creamy with a yellow color.
Separately, melt the dark chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Once the chocolate and butter have liquefied, slowly pour the combination into the mixer while it's still spinning.
Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Once finished, coat a ramekin with butter and sprinkled cocoa powder.
Pour the batter into the ramekin and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour allowing the batter to settle.
Once settled bake for 10 minutes.
Before plating top with powdered sugar as needed.
