Brownies On The Lake's balsamic vinaigrette recipe

2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 c balsamic vinegar
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon iodized salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 c vegetable oil

Method: combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, except for the oil. Combine with a whisk to ensure the sugar is dissolved. While whisking, slowly drizzle in oil, to begin emulsification. Once you have all the oil incorporated, taste for seasoning.

Serving suggestion: this works extremely well as a salad dressing, or a marinade, or if you're feeling bold: vanilla ice cream,  strawberries and a drizzle of this dressing is an Italian classic!
