(FOX 2) - Mother's Day brunch is sold out at Novi Chophouse, but the restaurant is offering a special dinner later this month that would make a great gift.
The Michigan Morel Extravaganza is Wednesday, May 22. Menu items are inspired by the morel mushroom.
Chef Jordan Whitmore joined us on The Nine to tell us more about the dinner, and to show us how to make Book Wagyu Wellington. You can watch in the video player above and get the recipe below.

Pre-sear 8 oz. steak filet
-Rub with wine-infused Dijon mustard
-Top with morel mushroom mix (or other mushrooms)
-Wrap with puff pastry
-Paint puff pastry with egg wash
-Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes
-Garnish with sea salt
