(WJBK) - The top 4 finalists have been announced for the 2017 Hatch Detroit contest. They're competing for money to help make their small business idea a reality.
Hatch Detroit Executive Director Vittoria Katanski joined us in studio to tell us more about the competition. She was joiend by Chef Alison Heeres from Coriander Kitchen and Farm, one of last year's finalists.
Coriander is a farm to table business that offers catering and hosts pop-ups. Chef Alison showed us how to make their bruschetta with fresh ricotta, pickled fennel and heirloom tomato. You can get her recipe below.
This year's finalists are Baobab Fare; Bar Botanica; Detroit Blows; and The Lip Bar. You can get more information on their businesses and vote online at HatchDetroit.com. Public voting begins Friday, August 25.
