Virtual Mexican restaurant opening in Ferndale

Sin Paredes means "without walls" in Spanish, and it's a fitting name for the latest food venture in Ferndale.

Sin Paredes is a virtual Mexican restaurant opening up within the walls of M-Brew -- but the majority of the time, you'll only be able to order the food over the internet.

For most of the week, you can order Chef Kelzi Bartholomaei's eats via app-based ordering sites, like Uber Eats and Grub Hub. Then, twice a week her menu will takeover M-Brew's and you can try the food at the restaurant.

Chef Kelzi comes from Tuscon, Ariz., where she ran a restaurant since the 1970s with a menu rooted in contemporary Native American cuisine. She's since been featured on Food Network and was named one of the 10 best diners by Men's Health.

Her food promises to be an authentic experience. You'll find multiple burrito and taco options with house made masa tortillas, fresh made salsas and dips as well as other classic Mexican items on the menu, as well as more traditional items like chicken mole, chili rellenos and tamales.

Sin Paredes will do a soft opening with a full celebration on May 5 (Cinco de Mayo) and their menu takeover at M-Brew that will last May 5- 7.

Chef Kelzi and Dean Bach from M-Brew joined us on The Nine to tell us more about the venture, and her food. You can hear from them in the video player above, and get her Salsa en Fuego recipe here
