Detroit Performs Live! Sept. 18

DETROIT (WJBK) - Singers and musicians will come together this Friday, September 18 for Detroit Performs Live! -- a one-time live broadcast by Detroit Public TV. The show features local artists such as jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic, Jessica Hernandez and Bettye LaVette. You can also check out gallery performances from local artists before the big show begins.

The show is at the Fillmore Theatre. A VIP event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception. The pre-show and gallery performances begin at 7:30, and musicians will begin to take the state at 8.

General seating tickets are available and the VIP packages include an after-glow party with a performance by Detroit funk band The Third Coast Kings. For ticket information and purchases, visit www.detroitperforms.org/live.
