Downtown Detroit hotspots and activities on St. Patrick's Day

(WJBK) - We are working for the weekend - checking out the places to be for St. Patrick's Day.

As Candice Simons from j'adore Detroit tells us, you don't have to hang out in a pub to get your green beer.

Beacon Park will host a free, family-friendly party .

  • The Gaelic League is an Irish American Club in Corktown that naturally goes all out for the holiday .
  • Detroit Irish Fest doors open at 9am for an all day and night affair across from the Athenium Hotel in Greektown.
  • Ant Hall is a relatively new music venue in Hamtramck and they will be hosting The Slime Ball Part 2. 

The Old Miami will be a hot spot for the night.

In the morning, you can recover with Home Slice Pizza and Vinyl Brunch at Pop at Offworld. One of our favorites in the city, DJ Lady Fantastic, aka Sarah Aldridge will be mixing throughout brunch. Pizza, drink specials, chill vibes, and throwback arcade games will ease you back into reality.
