Free lecture on human trafficking at Charles H. Wright Museum

- Human trafficking is a major problem putting the lives of young girls in danger.

An event this weekend will educate young girls about the dangers of this very real threat.

The event is called The Empowered Girl: How Not to be a Victim of Human Trafficking. It's Saturday, August 20 at the Charles H. Wright Museum in detroit from 8:30 - 11 a.m. It's free to attend.

The lecture will provide advice from the women who are on the front lines battling this epidemic and those who have survived human trafficking.

You can get more information here, and by watching the video segment above. Event moderator and Emmy award-winning journalist Shaun Robinson joined us in studio to tell us more about the event.
