Harlem Quarter to play mixed jazz, classical music show in Detroit

- The Harlem Quartet is coming to Detroit on Friday to perform a mixed program of classical music and jazz.

The acoustic string quartet is comprised of two violins, one viola and one cello. They'll perform at the Schaver Music Recital Hall on the campus of Wayne State University, and appearing at schools in metro Detroit, sharing their story and their talents with area students.

The event presented by the Chamber Music Society of Detroit is at 8 p.m. Friday. You can get tickets at 313-335-3300 or cmsdetroit.org.
