Hour Detroit's Give Detroit challenge

(WJBK) - Hour Detroit magazine is helping local charities raise awareness and fundraise through Give Detroit: A Charitable Registry and the Give Detroit Challenge.

The registry is a giving guide that highlights more than 40 charities and encourages some friendly competition: the charity that raises the most will win a $25,000 cash prize. Second and third place winners will take home some cash for their organization, too.

All participating charities will also have the opportunity to win thousands of dollars for their cause during weekly bonus challenges. Winners of the Give Detroit Challenge will be announced on Thursday, Nov. 12. For more information, please visit www.crowdrise.com/givedetroitchallenge.
