Local businesses gathering supplies to help those impacted by Hurricane Florence

A couple of Amy's Angels are jumping into action to fill semi trucks with supplies to help people in the wake of Hurricane Florence.

Joining FOX 2 is Jayson Waller from Power Home Solar, who just moved to Michigan from North Carolina, and Sherrie Handrinos, the organizer, who is no stranger to this kind of effort.

The Detroit2NC Stuff-a-Semi Campaign runs 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Bingham Office Park III Parking Lot (East Lot) - 30200 Telegraph Rd, Bingham Farms.

Power Home Solar is donating the two semi trucks, drivers, and fuel needed to bring donated supplies from Detroit to North Carolina.

Waller and Handrinos are asking everyone in Michigan to help Stuff the Semi Trucks with a variety of badly need items.
