Mich. man goes from paralyzation to being in best shape of his life

Earlier this year, Matt Lockwood's life changed in an instant.

He was hanging out, playing frisbee with some friends in Vancouver when he suddenly fell 30 feet down a cliff. When he woke up in the hospital -- he learned he had become paralyzed.

Matt had been in a drug-induced coma for several hours and had undergone brain surgery. When he woke, doctors told him he would have no use of his right arm, and that his right leg was also immobile.

With months of rehabilitation and training, he's regained 90 percent of his mobility -- and is now arguably in the best shape of his life.

He trained with Ben Boudro at Xceleration Fitness. The two joined us on The Nine to tell us more about Matt's journey. You can hear from them in the video player above.
