Michigan Millionaire: Winning Powerball ticket sold in SW Michigan

Someone in Southwestern Michigan is very happy this morning. The winning ticket to the $310 million Powerball jackpot, the second largest Powerball jackpot of 2015, was sold at a gas station in Three Rivers, Michigan.

According to lottery officials, there was one ticket sold that matched all 5 white powerballs and the red powerball number and won the top prize. The identity of the person who purchased the ticket is still unknown but it was purchased at the gas station Three Rivers West Shell at 1223 W. Michigan Avenue.

The Powerball Numbers (white) for Sept. 30: 21-39-40-55-59

The Powerball Red Power number: 17

The Power Play number: 3

The holder of the winning ticket would also be the winner of the second largest Powerball jackpot ever won in the state after Donald Lawson of Lapeer who won a $337 million Powerball jackpot on Aug. 15, 2012.

The last time the top Powerball jackpot was won was on Aug.1 when a California player won $110 million.

In Michigan more than 39,000 ticket holders also won at least $4 each.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. The jackpot will be $40 million.
