Downtown Plymouth Michigan is getting ready to host the 34th annual Plymouth Ice Festival. It takes place January 8th, 9th and 10th. The festival has a long-standing history of being the largest free ice festival in Michigan and remains dedicated to the art of ice carving.
This year's event will host the annual Collegiate Ice Carving competition presented by Genysis Credit Union. Plymouth Ice Festival spokesman James Gietzen joined us on The Nine to talk more about this year's event, along with one of the competing collegiate ice carvers, Robert Speeks.
