(WJBK) - The staff at the Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center has seen a rise in dog-on-dog attacks. This could be because many people use local dg parks to exercise their pets, although most attacks happen on residential streets. There are steps you can take to protect your pet. This includes making sure you can control your dog while on a leash. Know the area where you are walking and be very cautious when approaching other dogs. Be prepared for the worst. Watch for warning signs and have your dog under control at all times. 7th annual Fury for a Feast Aug. 24
Fury for a Feast is one of Michigan's largest barrel aged beer releases, and it's happening this year on Saturday Aug. 24.
The annual event at Witch's Hat Brewery is also a big fundraiser for Gleaners Community Food Bank and Blessings in a Backpack-South Lyon.

New restaurant with American fare open now in Greektown
A new restaurant has opened in downtown Detroit just a few weeks ago, right at the entrance into Greektown.
Friend & Associate is right at the corner of Monroe and Beaubien streets.
