Skilled trades program providing Detroiters with labor training

- If you drive through downtown, you'll see cranes in the sky with construction projects everywhere. This boom is good news for many who are looking for work.

But how do we make sure Detroiters are getting a fair shake at the skilled trade jobs that are out there?

Dino Vann, an ironworker for Midwest Steel on the Little Caesars Headquarters expansion joined us on Live at Eleven. Vann is also the executive director of a program to help get these jobs into the hands of people in the city.

The program is called Skilled Trade Enrollment Assistance Program, also known as STEAP. You can hear more about it from him in the video player above.
