Study finds children are getting too much homework

Children rejoice! Your plight is recognized. Your quandry with homework is being addressed.

The American Journal of Family Therapy is checkmarking the "Too much homework" box.

The study has found students in their elementary school years have been receiving up to three times as much homework as they should.

The everlong battle students have been doing with homework is contributing to stress levels in children and parents. The homework habit is creating a lack of balance in children's lives and increasing health problems, the study found.

Education leaders recommend no more than ten minutes of homework per grade.

Score one: the student.
