It's sale season for shops in Michigan -- including all the boutiques from The Boardwalk in West Bloomfield.

Lisa Rosenberg from Closet NV stopped by the studio with three models to give a preview of what her store will have to offer an annual event.

"This year we've decided to go back to our roots," she said. "We're listening to our customers and we're making it more of a family fun event."

On July 7, the Boardwalk will be full of music, food, and a raffle will be held. They will also be making a donation to Gleaners Community Food Bank.

Rosenberg said customers told her they wanted things at the Boardwalk to go back to the way they used to be.

"Shopping local is so important to everybody and we wanted to make it something that you can bring everybody to," she said. "So that's why we're doing the music and the food and making it more of an event than just shopping."

Closet NV will have extended hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between July 6 through July 9. On Thursday, July 7, during family fun day, they'll be open until 8 p.m.

Models in the preview included Katie from Sundance Shoes, Ariana Carps from Rear Ends and Jessica Rothenberg from Hersh's.
