(WJBK) - The invitations are out and now it's time to figure out what you'll wear to all those summer weddings. Von Maur has a few tips on how to create the best look for any venue.

For the women
       Lace dresses are a great way to add texture and interest, but stay away from black as it can look frumpy

       Pick geometric or textured accessories to dress up a simple dress like fringe earrings or cut-out shoes
       Get to know the ground so you can plan on sassy flats or sky-high stilettoes. Shoe choice is one of the most important decisions in wedding outfit planning since it'll impact your entire evening.
       Go bold with a brightly colored or oddly shaped clutch to add interest

For the men
       Leave the black and go for navy or grey suits
       When appropriate, go for another fabric entirely like linen - but make sure it's ironed!
       Brighten up the tie or pocket square for more interest, but be careful not to match them too closely. Stick with the same color, but a different pattern
