The Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts it's second annual Restaurant Week from March 6-12.
Several restaurants from Sterling Heights, Utica, Shelby Township will offer their best meals at a special price for lunch and/or dinner. Tye Elder, director of kitchen operations for Aubree's Pizzeria & Grill, stopped by the Fox2 studios Sunday with a few of sample dishes and offered up a taste of one of his favorites -- Pasta Gone Bayou.
Here's the recipe:
1 Tbsp - Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
2 oz. Green Peppers
2 oz. Caramelized Onions
2 2/3 oz fresh mushroom
1/4 cup cooking wine (to deglaze the pan)
2 oz. Cajun Sausage
2 oz. chicken
6 oz. of heavy whipping cram
1/2 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
8 oz. cooked penne pasta
Add 6 oz of heavy whipping cram to a pan and allow to reduce until the sauce is thick and creamy;
Add 1/2 Tbsp Cajun seasoning and mix in the pan;
Add 8 oz. cooked penne pasta to the pan and toss well;
Once finished, pour into pasta bowl;
Mound 1 oz. diced tomatoes in the center of the pasta;
and sprinkle 1 oz. shredded Parmesan over the pasta.
